Didja Know I Was Gone?

I`ve been right here for a couple of days, but unable to get online or use the phone.  The cable company left a short while ago so I`m back.

Yes, I spent the down time wisely.  I watched a Criminal Minds marathon, made four or five new cards and napped in various locations.  I`m a wild one!

Today`s card features a stamp by Stamping Bella a bit of embossing, ribbon and lace.  I had fun with my markers on this one.  I usually use water colours and don`t really feel comfortable with the markers, but there`s only one way to learn.

Yesterday I turned my craft room over to the kids and I received a lovely home made Mother`s Day card as a result.  For a first try without any coaching I think my daughter did a marvelous job.  The little butterflies are rubber stamps.  I honestly assumed they were store bought embellishments - she did such a great job on them.  I was also impressed that she stamped directly onto ribbon.  I do believe the girl has a knack!  I`m now thinking of gifting my Create to her.

I just had a call from Toronto and I`m leaving here on Tuesday to have my angiogram on Wednesday.  I`m relieved that things are moving ahead rather quickly.  Maybe I can have a good summer if I can get this behind me.

  2. What a lovely blog, such a warm and inviting place to be. You certainly don't appear to be new at card making. You must be a natural at it. If that's your daughter's first card, then she's certainly inherited your artistic ability. So glad you found me, as that let me to you. Praying for your transplant. ~ Abby
