A Better Day

I felt better today.  Do I hear a collective sigh of relief?  I ran errands today then came home with an iced latte and a book of ghost stories.  They're not too scary if you read them on a summer's afternoon.  I won't be reading them at midnight though, especially since the authors claim they are true stories that have occurred in the Muskoka area where I live,  It's bad enough that my dialysis machine goes bump in the night.  No ghosties welcome.!

Tonight's card is a copy of the first tent top card I made, but with a picture of a goldfinch instead of roses. The pretty little goldfinch came from Little Birdie Blessings.  Please visit her blog to see the wonderful images and encouraging words.  I love adding the double tied bows even if they do make mailing the card a pain. I'm a sucker for sheer ribbon.

Tomorrow will be a good day as I plan to finally pay a visit to Photo Metro to see their scrap booking section.   I have to be at that end of town to pick up a needed medication that was ordered for me.  Other than that I plan to dig through my closet in search of my favourite summer handbag..  This may not sound like much of a day to most of you, but for me it's jam packed with activity.  I can't imagine working an 8 hour day with this disease.  I wonder if I'll go back to work some time in the future?

In the mean tiime  I love paper crafting and reading  I have a great family and life is a bit of all right :)

Happy Crafting!

  2. What a beautiful card Ali. I just love what you did with one of my images. So sweet, I think you've inspired me to make a card with it as well. Sometimes the simplest things are right under our nose. Still keeping you in prayer. One day at a time. ~ Abby

  3. I love your card and your inspiring words of just keeping busy and moving forward. We just moved to the ocean. My husband felt that having the ocean to look at everyday would help in my recovery. He was/is right. Looking out of our windows and watching the waves really relaxes my mind and allows me to forget about my recovery. Too bad they can't put this in a bottle. Everyday is a blessing. Keep the faith!
