A Ruff Day

What a pun.  Ruff, ruff! I've done this little dog before but he's just so cute I had to do him again.  He's on his very own doggie paper as well.

I'm having trouble with my legs today.  Last night's drain wasn't very effective and I'm even more bloated than usual.  It's worrisome if it continues but I won't panic just yet.  I can use a stronger bag during the night which usually draws more fluid off of me.  Right now my legs are sore to touch and it's difficult getting up and down and walking. I am experiencing shooting pains in both legs as well.    My lower back is aching and I'm very dragged out today.  And to add insult to injury, my skin is so dry  that I can peel it off in sheets from my legs.  Gross.  Such is life when you are suffering end stage renal failure.  I am glad I know about my pager coming as it makes it a little less frightening and more bearable. I think I am carrying over 30 pounds of fluid at the moment.  Seriously!

But I woke up this morning, still alive and I feel sure that better days are ahead.  I just have to keep hanging on until my turn comes.

So today was RUFF for me but tomorrow is another day and I will stay optimistic.

Happy Crafting everybody!

  3. It's not the end of the world. Think of it as worldly experience that will allow you to look upon the travails of another with even more grace and humility than you already have, in abundance. Think of it as the nuggets around which you can form a storyline for that book you always wanted to write. Think of it as one of those events about which, you will one day look back upon and giggle nervously. Think of it as one step in your journey to beat the odds. Just think, that you are happy to be able to just think.
