Happiness is Pencils and Glamsol

Today's card reflects the kind of day it was here.  Yup.  Sunny and springy.  Of course if you are from the southern states for example, and if you were physically here today, you'd laugh and point at me and say it's a miserable winter day.  But for us hardy northerners this was a very nice day.

The card is a cut-away card, which you can see in the second illustration.  The paper I used was from the Prima Sparkling Spring 6 x 6 pad.  Each section was inked with Martha Stewart Pigment Inks.  The light pink border was a Make-the-Cut file, while the center flower and sentiment tag were from the Cricut  Bloom cart.  I just love the pinks and greens together.

Here is a shot of it showing the slightly opened card viewing the cut-away and a bit of the envelope showing a scrap of the same paper as decoration.  You can't see it, but there is still plenty of white area inside the card for a note.

I'm all 'carded' out for tonight.

On a very happy note, I took our taxes to the accountant today and when I came home both of my daughters were up, dressed AND continuing to clean the house.  I thought they were pretty much done last night, but those two angels decided to really clean and were hard at work washing walls and baseboards.  My house tonight is prettier than the prettiest greeting card!  Yay family!

I'm currently enjoying an after dinner coffee and I plan to print off some digis and do some colouring tonight.  I found a digi that is perfect for a friend of mine and I can't wait to start it.  I said I was crafted out 2 paragraphs before this one.  Oops.  My bad.  It appears I have a little craft left in me today.

I hope everyone else is enjoying this lovely Friday evening and since its the weekend, Happy Crafting!

  1. So, I was out and about (I still chuckle whenever I think of how our American friends would tease the two of us on our "accent" :P) and wandering in the dollar store, and, of course, saw a couple of things that I HAD to pick up for you. I'll drop them by tomorrow, while I am dealing with daughter's birthday party. Love the new card, what a delightful representation of spring! :)
