Sometimes Less is More

I was about to do a cutaway card this afternoon, but when I began to cut the paper I'd chosen I realized that the paper itself was the focal point of the card.  I'm ashamed to say how little effort went into this card, but here it is.  I also have to admit that the past couple of days have been hard.  I've been feeling the effects of my kidney disease and it's showing up everywhere.  I keep thinking just one good night's sleep and I'll jump back in the saddle.  I can't put my finger on what's wrong exactly. Certainly some symptoms are recognizable.  Maybe it's a comparison of myself now to myself a year ago. There has definitely been a toll.   Whatever it is, I'm not feelin' good at all.  I have a couple of projects I'd like to tackle.  I've recently seen a wallet/gift card holder/coupon wallet and now want to search out a tutorial.  If anyone knows of one please give me a holler.

I'm going to set myself a goal tonight.  Tomorrow, make another cut away card and don't cut any corners.  If I can't do it then I'll know I've really hit a slump.  The past couple of days I've been looking at everyone's creations and thinking that my own show a singular lack of talent and ability.  Maybe we all feel this way from time to time.  Couple the craft funk with my actual health and well.  I don't know.

I hope everyone has a great weekend planned.  If anybody knows of any cool tutorials I'd love to hear about them.  Seriously.

If you haven't joined SplitCoastStampers, I suggest you do. Its the largest group of stampers/scrappers I've seen, and they have a wealth of resources. Its just a wonderful group!
Praying for you to be lifted my friend!
I would comment on your card if I could see it, but I just see a blue box with a question mark, so for some reason it won't load. :-(
    Big hugs to you! xo

  6. I hope you're feeling better. It IS HARD to create when you aren't feeling good. I had a virus and bad cough in February and it was really hard to be creative, and that is small beans compared to kidney disease.

This card and your other work is just fabulous!

Momo sent me, and I am now a follower.
