Grow Grow Grow

Most of my day was spent at Marina Point, the seniors residence my mother lives at.  We brought my mom cookies and sweets and a Tim Horton's coffee and had a nice long visit in her room.  I feel sad realizing that she's gotten so old.  I have a photo of her and my dad up in my craft room taken a few months before my oldest daughter was born.  She looked so young and pretty. To me, at 87, she still is pretty.  Family love is a wonderful thing.  We all see each other through the eyes of love where wrinkles, weight and greying hair don't matter.  I'm grateful for every new day the Lord allows her.

Tonight's card was made with a tree theme.  I used green glitter on the leaves of the two stamped trees and white gel pen on the single branch.

I also made this super quick little card using white inks and once again, some Just Wordz stamps.  I like the white ink so the next step is to learn how to use it properly (all I did was simply stamp it).  I think it would look great if it were heat embossed.

Off to watch a Harry Potter video with the kids. Late night!  Happy weekending, everyone!

Dear Alison (to one beautiful lady): This is the first time I have adventured to this area through Club Ruby. I came across your profile and I just felt compelled to write you a quick note. I think your cards are simply wonderful!!! Keep up the good work! But, most of all, I wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most challenging time for your and your family!
    Sincerely, Sandra Joy
